UPI payment QR codes
A UPI QR code holds a link such as upi://pay?pa=name@bank&pn=Shop%20Name&am=250&cu=INR. Any UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or your bank's app) can scan it and opens with your UPI ID, name and amount already filled in. Leave the amount empty to let the customer enter it. The QR code is created on your device and contains only your UPI ID, so payments go straight to your bank account with no middleman.
Tips for QR codes that scan reliably
- Keep strong contrast: a dark code on a light background. Inverted or pale colours may not scan.
- Print at least 2 × 2 cm, larger for scanning from a distance (roughly distance ÷ 10).
- Use a higher error correction level (Q or H) if the code will be printed on rough surfaces or might get scratched.
- Always test-scan before you print.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They are static QR codes, so the information is stored inside the code itself. They work forever and don't depend on this website.
Is the UPI QR code safe?
It contains only your UPI ID, name and optional amount, which is the same information printed on any shop's payment QR. Nobody can withdraw money using it. Always check the name shown in the UPI app before paying.
How do I make a WiFi QR code?
Choose WiFi, enter the network name (SSID), password and security type. Guests scan it with their phone camera to join without typing the password.
